Anonymous asked: Why are you so deeply concerned with the actions of others? You seem to direct so much anger towards those who do not share your world view. Wouldn't that make you a hypocrite then, for that's exactly the reason why you're angry at them? As much merit as your cause may hold, shoving your ideals down others' throats will never promote tolerance and acceptance; only more anger and bigotry, like a vicious cycle. What do you really hope to achieve with this attitude of yours?
I’m not angry because they don’t share my world view; I’m angry because my world is held to be inferior. As a woman, as a fervent believer in the individual right, as someone who refuses to fit in, I am on the receiving end of bigotry. Some of it is trolling, some of it is unintentional. Either way, I’m not the one society panders to. That would be men. Straight white men from the West. It’s not my world that others have to live in. It’s a straight white man’s world. And if I don’t help speak out about the treatment of non-straight white males as one of them, how can I call myself progressive?
